Stress, job satisfaction and mental work environment |

Many companies have changed from ”the
customer is king” to ”the employee is king”. This is the result of the
fact that a workplace with a good mental work environment – or high
social capital – is more effective and productive. Each workplace has
its own challenges creating job satisfaction and avoiding stress – but
there are also a number common characteristics. We know, for instance,
that for the great majority of employees, the three most important
reasons for reduced job satisfaction are busyness, changes at work and
the immediate superior.

can we prevent stress, how do we avoid that good employees change from
enthusiasm to strain; what is stress? How does it manifest itself and
how do we deal with stress – as a manager and in the organisation – if
