Stress, job satisfaction and mental work environment

Many companies have changed from ”the customer is king” to ”the employee is king”. This is the result of the fact that a workplace with a good mental work environment – or high social capital – is more effective and productive. Each workplace has its own challenges creating job satisfaction and avoiding stress – but there are also a number common characteristics. We know, for instance, that for the great majority of employees, the three most important reasons for reduced job satisfaction are busyness, changes at work and the immediate superior.

"How can we prevent stress, how do we avoid that good employees change from enthusiasm to strain; what is stress? How does it manifest itself and how do we deal with stress – as a manager and in the organisation – if an employee is hit by it?"

We offer:

  • Individual sparring of managers who themselves suffer from stress or who have employees who suffer from it.

  • Process consultancy in order to reveal straining work factors and help creating actions which can change inappropriate patterns, habits or organisational conditions.

  • Lectures, training and workshops for groups or departments.

Examples of tasks:

  • Individual discussions with managers who suffer from stress or are at risk of getting stress. The managers are from both public and private organisations.

  • Workshops for a half day or a whole day at Siemens Wind Power where the theme was prevention and handling of stress.

  • Post-workday meetings at Grundfos with introductions and discussions about how to prevent and handle stress in a busy life.
